Your TikTok archive
Find that hook you used before.
You remember what you said. Just not which video it was in. Search your own TikTok videos in Yvila and rediscover old topics, hooks and phrases.
How to find one of your own TikTok videos.
Connect your TikTok account in Yvila and wait for your videos to appear in the archive. Free lets you try searchable text in five of your own videos. Importing videos and recognising text can take time.
- Open your archive. Enter a word you remember in the search field: a topic, a product name or part of your opening line.
- Choose “Search”. Yvila searches titles, captions and spoken or on-screen text that has already been recognised.
- Open a matching result. Read the caption and recognised text in video details to check whether it is the post you meant.
- Too many results? Open “Exclude terms” and enter words or names you want to leave out, separated by commas.
- No result? Try a shorter or different word. Choose “Show all videos” to reset the search.
Example: Find the opening of a train-travel video.
Suppose you posted about your first Interrail trip a few months ago. You want to look back at its opening before making another post. This is a fictional example.
For example: “Three things I wish I had known before my first train trip.”
- Start by searching for “Interrail”. If none of the results looks right, try “train trip” or a word from the caption you used.
- Open the post and read how you started. Look at its stats beside the video too.
- Think about what you would add today: something from your next trip, an unanswered question or a better opening. Your earlier wording gives you somewhere to start.
Keep useful videos together.
Switch between “Gallery” and “List” depending on whether a thumbnail or an overview of several posts is more helpful. Use “Sort videos” to show newer or older posts first.
If you remember roughly when you published the video, narrow the selection with the period filter. Use the reset filters link to remove these restrictions again.
Open “My collections” for recurring topics. Enter a name such as “Train trips” in the new-collection field and create it. Choose “Select videos”, mark the relevant posts and add them to the collection using the collection dialog. Removing a video from a collection does not remove it from the archive.
A one-off search can become a selection you come back to later.
When you only remember an image.
Search relies on available text. A red jacket, a camera movement or a scene with no matching words may not produce a result.
Try the topic or a word from the caption. Text may still be missing from a video that was just imported. No search result does not necessarily mean the video is absent from your archive.
