Looking back
See what has worked for you.
One video has more views. Another has more comments. Yvila performance insights help you look at your own videos in context. They are part of Creator and use the measurements available for your account.
How to open your performance insights.
Missing seven-day measurements are not calculated backwards from later view counts. You can look at lifetime totals instead.
- Open your archive. Choose “View insights” in the “What has worked for you” card.
- Choose a comparison basis. “Lifetime totals” groups videos of similar age. “After about seven days” uses values actually observed around that point.
- Look for relevant posts under “Which videos performed especially well”. Yvila compares your videos within the same format and excludes videos marked as campaigns.
- Open a video to read its caption and recognised text alongside its stats. Compare its opening and topic with another relevant post.
- Check the dates of the statistics and analysis. Open “How Yvila compares your videos” for the basis and requirements behind labels and patterns.
Example: Fewer views, more reactions relative to views.
Two fictional videos of the same format were each measured after seven days. These figures only explain the calculation; they do not come from a Yvila account.
| Video | Views | Reactions | Per 1,000 views |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | 10,000 | 350 | 35 |
| B | 5,000 | 300 | 60 |
Video A has 300 likes, 30 comments and 20 shares: 350 reactions. Video B has 250 likes, 30 comments and 20 shares: 300 reactions.
Divide reactions by views and multiply by 1,000. B has fewer views in this example, but more reactions per 1,000 views. That alone does not explain the difference.
Open both videos. Did you ask a different question? Was the opening more specific? Use that to form a question for your next video, rather than a promise about its reach.
Turn a pattern into a specific question.
Suppose your insights show that a topic appears more often in your stronger videos. Read the examples and look at the comparison posts too. See what you actually said in them.
Write down one small question for your next post: “What happens if I make the opening more specific?” or “Which question from the old video is still unanswered?” Changing several things at once makes it harder to interpret the result later.
Insights describe past relationships. Timing, format and other circumstances may play a part. An observation does not establish a cause.
When there is no clear pattern yet.
Video comparisons and content patterns need different amounts of data. A content observation requires at least 60 comparable videos, including 50 with usable text. The detail view explains the other requirements.
Video comparisons may be available even without a completed observation. A new or small archive will not immediately offer the same insights as one built up over time.
Questions about this
Can I compare a new video with an older one?
Total views alone can be misleading because the older post has had more time. Yvila compares videos of similar age. A seven-day comparison is available only when the relevant measurements exist.
What counts as a reaction here?
The reaction rate combines likes, comments and shares per 1,000 views. It adds context alongside views; it is not a complete assessment of a video.
Will Yvila tell me when my next video will go viral?
No. These insights show past values and patterns in your own content. They do not predict future reach.
